We are pleased to report that Nathan Olin of Olin Lippiello LLP has been selected to join a special task force of the Federal Bar Association to examine issues of diversity and inclusion throughout the national federal court organization. Nate was selected, in part, because of his national role (on the sections and divisions council) overseeing the FBA’s efforts in the areas of civil rights, criminal law, and LGBTQ issues. Nate has also been recognized for helping to establish an FBA presence in Western Massachusetts, where he runs an employment law practice at Olin Lippiello LLP.
Nate is thrilled to assist National FBA President Kip Bollin and Past President Judge Michael Newman create an action plan for how the FBA can continue to make diversity and inclusion a priority throughout every level of the organization. According to Olin, the FBA is an integral partner with our United States courts and, like the courthouses themselves, needs to keep striving to better reflect and integrate the diverse populations that we serve.
Among his many other FBA tasks, Nate will be representing Massachusetts at an annual FBA meeting in Washington, D.C. on March 23-25, 2018. He is also helping to organize a national leadership training, also in Washington, D.C., in late April.
