Lisa S. Lippiello
Lisa S. Lippiello brings nearly four decades of experience in the criminal law field and has been a licensed criminal defense attorney since 2006. Her practice focuses on representing clients facing serious misdemeanor and felony charges. As a retired Lieutenant with the New York City Police Department (NYPD), she offers invaluable insight and perspective that uniquely inform her legal strategy and advocacy.
In addition to her criminal law expertise, Lisa is a highly skilled family law practitioner and trained mediator. She has extensive experience handling all aspects of family law, including divorce, separation, temporary orders, contempt actions, and child custody matters. She is deeply committed to empowering her clients, working closely with them to develop personalized solutions that foster confidence and long-term stability.
Lisa’s practice also encompasses personal injury, civil rights, and LGBTQ-related matters. She has a strong record of advocating for members of the transgender community, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to equality, dignity, and fairness.
She is admitted to practice in all District, Superior, and Family Courts in Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
As a trained mediator in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 233, Section 23C, Lisa facilitates constructive communication between parties in conflict, helping them reach timely, cost-effective resolutions. Her mediation approach is designed to guide clients through challenging situations with clarity and efficiency—often avoiding the expense and stress of litigation.
Education
Lisa S. Lippiello received her B.A. from Hunter College in 1998 and her Masters of Public Administration from Marist College in 2002. In 2006, she earned a Juris Doctor from Western New England University School of Law as a four time scholarship recipient.

Lisa Lippiello was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 2006 and practices in all District, Superior and Family Courts in Massachusetts. In 2011, she was admitted to the United States District Court, District of Massachusetts. In 2018, Lisa was admitted to the United States Supreme Court.

Formerly, Lisa was an instructor of Criminal Justice and Substance Abuse at the University of Massachusetts.
